Are you technically minded?

Volunteer Sound Engineers help by operating and controlling recording equipment to produce an audio recording on our Windows PC as directed by our Talking News Producer. We use Audition software, which has editing facilities which are very easy to use.

Recording takes place every other Tuesday evening at 6.45, and usually lasts about 3 hours.

You will be part of a team of volunteers and will carry out your tasks on a rota basis.

As a rule, you would be scheduled about once a month. Training on operating the equipment will be given by existing engineers.

About our Organisation

The Engineering team are one of several in HTN. We work closely with the Readers and Producer, who are all present at the recording session, but other teams are involved on days before and after the session.
