You will be redirected to the Volunteer First website to express your interest.

Welcome attendees warmly and help set up the group space before sessions.
Support participants during group activities such as arts, crafts, music, reminiscence, or gentle exercise.
Encourage conversation, inclusion, and positive interaction among attendees.
Prepare and serve refreshments where needed (following hygiene guidelines).
Assist with tidying up and resetting the venue after sessions.
Observe and report any wellbeing concerns or changes in attendees to staff.
Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety standards at all times.
Be an ambassador for Recapture Life’s values of dignity, kindness, and empowerment.

What skills do I need?

Empathetic, patient, and respectful attitude.
Good communication and listening skills.
Reliable and able to work as part of a supportive team.
Comfortable engaging with people living with dementia.
Positive and encouraging, with a sense of humour and warmth.
Willingness to follow training, guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
No previous care experience needed — just a kind heart and willingness to learn.
