Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW host a monthly Musical Moments Group in partnership with Wellington Vale Care Home in Denmead, for people living with dementia and their family carer.

Local choirs, ukulele bands, and musicians come to the group to provide musical stimulation for our group members. Many group members will sing a long, tap their toes, or get up and dance.

We are looking for a volunteer to be the lead contact at the group once a month for 2 hours. Every fourth Tuesday each month 1.30pm-3.30pm.

The role will involve helping the venue to ensure the smooth running of the event, assisting group members to participate, helping with tea/coffee/cake and conversation, and completing an attendance sheet and sending it to the office.

Full training will be given and you will be supported by our Head of Community Support.

What skills do I need?

No musical experience needed, just kind, compassionate people to help the smooth running of the group and assist group members to participate.
