Greenfingers is a horticultural therapy project for adults with learning disabilities based at Elizabeth Road allotments in Basingstoke. Each session, Service Users participate in a variety of gardening, horticultural and occasional craft activities planned to cater for the varying needs of attenders.
We expect you as a volunteer to support our users in gardening and horticulture tasks, to assist them develop their confidence, independence and social skills and to enjoy doing it!
Knowledge of gardening and horticulture are welcome, ability to communicate with people confidently, be friendly and have a good level of empathy, care and compassion.
Training provided. On commencing you will shadow a member of staff and senior volunteers until you feel confident to undertake tasks on your own.
You will receive regular feedback on your achievements, performance and commitment as a volunteer.

Flexible - Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm. Volunteers can help the whole day or from 10am - 12pm or 1pm to 3pm
