Would you like to support a busy food pantry in the heart of Aldershot? Do you have a driving licence and your own transport? Then this rewarding role could be for you!

We are looking for more drivers to join our team to collect food and other items on a regular basis. The main tasks are:-

• Collecting food from local supermarkets - you will be given a regular slot but there may be some additional collections if the store is low on stock levels
  
• Liaising with the supermarket management and staff when arriving at the supermarket.
• Putting the food collected into your car – manual handling training will be provided
• Dropping the food collections back at the store
• Weighing the food collected and recording this information
• Putting the food into the correct area of the warehouse
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Ensure that the warehouse is kept tidy
• Follow our procedures including Code of Conduct, safeguarding and GDPR at all times
• Liaising with the store manager regarding the weekly food collections including giving feedback from the supermarkets 

Please note that a weekly commitment on Wednesday mornings is preferred.

• Well-organised and reliable
• Friendly and polite nature (for contact with supermarket management and staff)
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Please note that some lifting will be required
• Driving licence
• Use of your own vehicle with business insurance (most insurance companies will add business insurance for no extra cost for volunteers)
