Beaver Scout Volunteers - Ashurst & Colbury

Ashurst & Colbury Scouts group is looking for volunteers to come and help with their 6-8 year old Beaver Scouts sessions on Thursdays 6.15-7.15pm (term time only).

Based in their headquarters in Ashurst the Beavers get to do lots of different activities throughout the year. These include hikes, camping, archery, games, cooking, first aid, and map reading. Whilst having fun and learning skills for life. 

You do not need previous experience just a willingness to get stuck in and join in the fun. A DBS and training will be provided. On-going training will be available and the opportunity to earn qualifications in some skilled activities if of interest.

We can offer flexible volunteering opportunities so if you cannot come every week please do not let this put you off.

What skills do I need?

• You will be a confident communicator who is able to work as part of a team
• Ability to engage with 6-8 year olds
• No previous scouting experience is needed
• Training and support will be given
