TACC Volunteer Learning Support Assistant
You will be redirected to the Volunteer Essex website to express your interest.
- To support learners, either in small groups or 1-2-1 using questioning techniques.
- To support learners whose first language might not be English.
- Supporting learners with other barriers to learning.
- To speak with tutors about groups or individuals that may need more support
- To attend provided training as required for the role.
- Relevant training and TACC courses will be provided to help you carry out your role including Safeguarding training.
- Reasonable expenses paid as agreed by your volunteer manager.
- To provide a positive and rewarding volunteering experience.
What skills do I need?
- Good listening skills.
- Patience when supporting others.
- Clear speaking and handwriting.
- To provide peer support to our learners.
- Ideally have a level 2 Qualification (GCSE A-C) in literacy and numeracy but this is not a requirement.
