Are you passionate about books, local history, or libraries? The Gibson Library Society is looking for dedicated volunteers to support the smooth running of our activities and help us preserve and promote our unique library collection in Saffron Walden.
We are currently seeking volunteers for a variety of roles, including:
- Supervising volunteers
- Booking monthly guest speakers for meetings (speakers chosen by the Library Committee)
- Helping to organise annual outings to libraries, conservation studios, bookbinders, and other places of interest (destinations chosen by the committee)
- Handling administrative tasks, such as phone calls, writing letters/emails, and confirming arrangements
What skills do I need?
Administration, computer skills.
Volunteers with a good knowledge of Saffron Walden and the wider Uttlesford area
