We need friendly, patent and reliable volunteers to offer support on our helpline by taking calls and answering enquires that come through our helpline email address and website referral form.

The role is based in our office in central Chelmsford, where you will volunteer with a friendly admin team.

Descriptions of tasks:

• To answer calls from parents/carers, professionals and other support organisations.
• To take details for new families and logging them onto our database.
• To log calls and maintain records on our database.
• Booking new and existing families a call with a Family Support Adviser.
• Booking new and existing families onto a workshop or DLA clinic.
• Sending information and resources to families 
• To actively listen and respond to families in a polite and empathetic manner.

What skills do I need?

Have a friendly, compassionate, tactful and pro-active nature with good verbal and listening skills.
