The Epping Forest District Museum tells the story of the people and events that have shaped the district’s rich history. To better serve our community, we seek enthusiastic volunteers to assist with engaging events and activities. Prior knowledge of the museum or the collections isn\'t required, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is key. Most events are ad-hoc, so we\'ll contact you by email with details when opportunities arise. Simply reply if you\'re interested in lending a hand!
Responsibilities (may include but are not exclusive to)
· Assisting the facilitator with the general running of activities
· Engaging with visitors of all ages
· Helping visitors with the event or activity being held
· Helping at events for adults: serving refreshments; requesting feedback
· Setting up for and tidying up after events
· Photography: taking photos at events; obtaining permission forms
· Assisting at off-site outreach events elsewhere in the Epping Forest District
· Creatively engaging with Epping Forest District communities to ensure greater access
· Signing people in and out of events
· Visitor surveys

· Reliability
· A positive and cheerful attitude towards all our visitors, volunteers, and staff
· Willingness to help out with a variety of tasks
· Ability to show initiative
· A passion for history and the Epping Forest District
· You must be aged 18 or over to volunteer. If you are younger, please contact the email below about alternative opportunities which may be available.
