Founded in 2022, Perivale Social Club is a small, welcoming community group dedicated to reducing isolation and improving mental wellbeing among elderly and vulnerable people aged between 55 and 94. The club provides friendship, support, and guidance to help members rebuild confidence, develop social connections, and reconnect with local facilities and activities within the community. Alongside regular social gatherings, the group also organises an annual seaside trip each July, giving members an opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy meaningful companionship. 

Volunteer Assistant Role:

• Helping to set up the hall and prepare the activity space before guests arrive
• Assisting with making and serving refreshments
• Supporting with organising and running quizzes and games activities
• Encouraging participation and helping guests feel welcome and included
• Assisting attendees who may need additional support during activities
• Helping to tidy and clear up the venue after the event finishes

What skills do I need?

• Must be a people person and able to connect with elderly.
• Friendly and helpful.
