Activity Group Lead
Help older people stay active, connected, and engaged by supporting and leading fun monthly activity groups in your local community.
As an Activity Group Lead, you'll take turns leading a monthly session alongside other volunteers, helping to deliver enjoyable and inclusive activities such as chair exercises, games, or gentle movement activities. You'll also spend time chatting with older people, helping everyone feel welcome, supported, and included.
This role involves attending the monthly activity group for around two hours per month, making it a rewarding way to give back while meeting new people and becoming part of a friendly volunteer team.
What skills do I need?
Skills and qualities:
Friendly, approachable, and reliable
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence leading or helping to facilitate a small group activity
Enthusiasm for supporting older people and reducing loneliness
Ability to work as part of a team
No previous experience is required. Full training and ongoing support will be provided
