If you are friendly and can give clear, accurate information, come and be the first point of contact at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital, Minor Injury Unit to help provide extra support and a friendly face. If you are a good communicator, have a re-assuring nature and enjoy interacting with people, then this will be a great role for you.

What you will be doing:

  • Greet patients, registering their details and advise them on where they need to go
  • On busy occasions, when greeting patients, advise them that staff will be with them ASAP
  • Be a friendly face to talk to patients in the waiting room, advise them on potential waiting times and the MIU process
  • Direct patients to facilities such as refreshments/toilets
  • Direct patients to other departments (e.g. X-Ray), completing any documentation as required
  • Help patients fill out ‘Friend and Family Tests’ (FFT)
  • Notifying staff if any patients are distressed and when appropriate comfort/reassure patients
  • Update the waiting time.
