Guild Care is Worthing’s leading social care charity. Our vision is that all people in need of care live fulfilling, safe and secure lives.

We deliver a wide range of community services, all supported by the funds raised in our charity shops – that’s where you come in!

As a retail assistant you will be part of a dedicated retail team helping raise vital income for Guild Care.

Are you passionate about delivering great customer service? If you enjoy helping people find that perfect item of clothing or the ideal gift, while keeping the shop well stocked, tidy and safe, this could be the role for you!

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys friendly interactions with people, who wants to give something back to their community or is perhaps interested in developing their skills for the future – no two days are the same!

We have charity shop locations at Broadwater, Crawley, Findon, Goring-by-Sea, Horsham, Hove, Littlehampton, Southwick and Worthing.

Benefits

  • As part of an amazing team, you'll help raise vital funds that make a real difference to the lives of people in Worthing.
  • You'll have the opportunity to meet new people and develop valuable personal and professional skills.
  • 25% discount across our charity shops for all volunteers

Practical Considerations

  • Please see our website for shop locations as we have multiple shops across Sussex!
  • Unfortunately we cannot accept volunteers under the age of 14, and will have limited places for under 18's
  • We ask that volunteers are able to volunteer independently

  • Support Disabled
This will be discussed at application stage.

What skills do I need?

• Be friendly and enthusiastic

• Be reliable, willing to learn and be part of a team

• Be able to communicate with customers and teammates, and work independently or ask for support when needed.

• Maintain an open, inclusive and non‑discriminatory approach

• Uphold our BELIEF values:  Brave | Engaging | Loving | Integrity | Everyone Matters | Free to Be Me
