The Family Activities Volunteer will assist in engaging families during community sessions, such as teatime clubs, coffee mornings, and stay and play sessions. This role includes talking to families and letting them know what goes on in the Family Hub, setting up and clearing away activities, and providing a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Tasks & responsibilities • Talking to families and children in a friendly, approachable manner and informing them about what goes on in a Family Hub • Help Family Hub staff to prepare refreshments and organise materials for activities • Assist with setup and clearing away of Family Hub community sessions • Share information about local resources and community support where appropriate • Maintain a friendly and inclusive environment during community sessions

What skills do I need?

• Enthusiasm for working with families in a community setting • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds • A friendly and approachable behaviour

Our family activities run at different times throughout the day. Our ask is that you're available between Monday to Friday, between 9.30 and 5pm. You won't be expected to come in all of that time, a few hours a week would be great, and we can work around you.

We would like volunteers to make a commitment to volunteer with us for up to 6 months.
