The Branch Chair is a key volunteer leadership role within a local Branch, who links closely with both the Association staff and other volunteers to drive impact through various local activities.
Tasks and activities:
- Leadership - plan and co-ordinate key Branch activities and processes, including Branch committee meetings (virtual and/or face to face)
- Planning – engage with local communities to plan for Branch development
- Growth – in conjunction with staff, support with the recruitment, induction, development and recognition of volunteers, as well as with succession and sustainability planning
- Awareness – act as an ambassador for the MND Association
- Policies - adhere to the MND Association’s policies and procedures, including Safeguarding
What skills do I need?
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to motivate and support volunteers
- Confident planning and coordinating activities
