Volunteer Mentors

Are you a caring adult over the age of 18 with a few hours to spare per month? We are looking for adult mentors for children in West Sussex typically aged between 6 and 11, who are no longer able to live with their birth parents and are in need of an adult role model.

As a mentor, you would spend a few hours a month, over a period of a year or more, with a child that is suitably matched. You will spend time together doing simple things, such as going for bike rides or playing in the park.

The aim of the programme is to support children to thrive in life, giving them opportunities to walk alongside a trusted adult. This type of mentoring has been proven to increase well being and confidence as well as improve future outcomes for the child.

We are looking for mentors from all walks of life; you don't have to be perfect, just present and able to commit to regular and consistent meet-up's with your 'little'.

What skills do I need?

You need to have patience and kindness, and a willingness to walk alongside a young person.

We welcome adult Mentors of all ages and from all walks of life, and we provide full training and support throughout our journey together.
